Although this is an old session from my life in Tucson, I never posted this sweet baby announcement session. I realized that some of my newer followers and clients here in Germany may not know I photograph baby announcement sessions. I photographed this session at one of my favorite locations, the University of Arizona. The location was perfect for this couple since one was a University of Arizona fan and the other an Arizona State University fan. For those unfamiliar with U of A and ASU, there is quite the rivalry, which made for a fun session.
The session was taken during a Tucson summer so I recall it being warm, but it was thankfully an overcast day and not terribly hot. I took advantage of the beautiful blooms the University of Arizona always has on display. Our first stop was near the rose garden. This spot can be iffy. Thankfully for our session the roses were in bloom, healthy, and colorful. After that, we meandered to the fountain at Old Main. The blooms were beginning to wilt a bit, but the color was still abundant. This was perfect for some close-up shots with each other and their sonogram photos.
Baby announcement sessions are usually short, about 30 minutes, so we stayed close to Old Main. Although we didn’t go far, that small area has so many amazing photo spots. I could probably spend hours in that one spot and still have more to photograph. We finished off the session capturing Mom and Dad’s fun loving college rivalry. They brought baby onesies from both ASU and U of A. I photographed them on the front steps of Old Main. The expressions and fun was priceless. Make sure to scroll to the bottom to see the fun.
