Last Spring I captured Baby Hudsen’s mom during May for a maternity session, you can view her maternity session here. In early June Baby Hudsen made is arrival Earth side. Being a spring baby I wanted to capture that in his images without it being too over-the-top spring. The image above of him in his little bee outfit is one that I have been dying to shoot for some time. I found this digital backdrop and I thought it was perfect for a little boy. It was only the beginning, however.
Hudsen slept pretty well. He wasn’t as thrilled with naked poses so I was able to capture three and we moved into wrapped poses. Our first set was a rainbow theme. I have two little heart hats that I have had for years and they were a perfect match to my rainbow knitted blanket, along with my green backdrop. After the rainbow poses I pulled out a moon prop I made just for him. I loved it with the blue fabric and a little sleep cap I have also had for many years.
Our first wrapped poses were on my flokati. A little trick I will share with you, it’s actually a brown flokati, but brown is an easy color to change. So I change it to any color I want. The only problem is blue is very drastic and deep colors are difficult to produce. I have since purchased just a blue, but for his session I colored the flokati to match the wraps and hats. We did a couple in a bucket, and the last ones are my favorites. The potato sack pose in blue with a hat and glasses, and Hudsen smiling! It was the cutest finish to a newborn session.
